The Policy Centre has launched Academic Centre
A key aim of the Centre is to encourage Jersey students who prepare dissertations to do so on Jersey-related subjects. The Centre’s website, including the database of academic papers, is a valuable resource for such research. The Centre may also be able to provide some expert support though members of its Advisory Council and other relevant experts. Students contemplating a Jersey-related subject are invited to contact the Centre.
The Academic Centre also includes details of books and journals on island studies and university and other academic organisations that specialise in island studies, including Jersey’s own Jersey International Centre of Advanced Studies (JICAS) which offers a degree in island biodiversity and conservation in conjunction with University of Exeter.
The Centre is building a database of academic studies relevant to Jersey. The database already includes links to 23 papers. The Centre is inviting Academics and students who wish to have their papers included in the database are invited to send them to the Centre.
