New Policy Briefs published and others expanded and updated
The Policy Centre’s 22 Policy Briefs each comprise a succinct up-to-date summary of the current position in respect of a significant policy area in Jersey. The Briefs include links to relevant policy documents and research. They have become well-established as a comprehensive and easily accessible source of reliable information on Government policy.
The Centre has updated its range of Policy Briefs and added some new ones.
Three new briefs have been published -
- University Level Education in Jersey summarises the substantive research paper published by the Centre in December.
- Economic Trends summarises data on the key economic variables – economic growth, retail prices and earnings – and including analysis and forecasts by the Fiscal Policy Panel.
- Ageing Population sets out key data and discusses the implication of the inevitable rise in the dependency ratio.
The Brief on the Economy has been renamed Economic Policy and includes details of recently published policy papers on the visitor economy and barriers to business.
The Brief on Home Affairs has been expanded to include a summary of the recent report on Violence Against Women and Girls.
The Brief on Sport has been updated to include details of review of how policies for sport and physical activity are delivered and the ministerial response.
A new Brief on Transport will be published shortly.
